London
Damn! I hope those of you who are in London or have any friends or family in London are OK.
My brother, sister-in-law, and nieces are flying to London today. Hopefully this doesn't scare the girls or put a damper on their vacation.

# RE: London
We had a great time in Paris and London - in spite of everything terrorist-related (both the day we left and the day we came back). The girls were a bit shocked to see armed police/military in the airports, at the Eiffel Tower (etc., etc.) but other than one scary man on a double-decker bus, everything went rather smoothly. Having said that, it's good to be back home. :)

# RE: London
It helped that we went to Paris for the first week instead of London. By the time we arrived there (the 15th), everything was pretty much back to normal and all the tube lines we needed to use were running full-service again. It was a good thing we went out to the airport early on the 21st though, as one of the lines that TfL shut down because of the 2nd bombings was the one connecting our apartment to everywhere else. I wouldn't have relished a $150+ cab ride to Heathrow - not to mention that it might not have got us there in time anyway.
